Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah has paid a visit to the National Council for Civic Education and Development (NaCCED), to learn about the work of the institution and to understand how it can effectively function within the context of the Ministry’s new mandate.

The Minister was accompanied by Deputy Minister Yusuf Keketoma Sandy and the Acting Director of Information Emmanuel Turay.

Speaking to a cross-section of NaCCED staff, Minister Chernor Bah commended their dedication to promoting Civic Education across the country and how they have promoted, His Excellency, President Julius Maada Bio’s Vision to see a nation with a high sense of nationalism and patriotism through civic education.

“Everything around the Big Five is centred around civic education, so there is a need for capacity building especially digital capacity to upscale the work of the institution. We are going to give all the necessary support needed as we are pushing for greater excellence” he said.

Chairman of NaCCED, Kalilu Totangi, thanked the Minister and his team for the visit and assured them of their readiness to work with the Ministry of Information and Civic Education, in the best interest of the country.
