 He said the indictments were later amended due to an application dated 30 October 2017, which precipitated   the commencement of full blown trial, but the defendants, meaning Isha Johannsen and Christopher Abdul Kamara pleaded not guilty when the charges were put to them, while they were being docked.

According to Hon Justice Reginald Fynn the indictments relates to an amount of fifty thousand United State dollars loan the then defendants took from Anne Johannsen, but in the absence of a firmer theory from the prosecution which was very cooperative and at the same time held a balance of probabilities to offer an explanation during the trail process.

Hon Justice Reginald Fynn went on to say that he finds Christopher Abdul Kamara then Secretary General of the Sierra Leone Football Association took a loan from one Anne Johannsen the husband of Isha Johansen in the sum of fifty thousand United State dollars and that the said loan must be pay back to Anne Johanssen.

He made it crystal clear that throughout the trail no evidence was adduced to hold Isha Johannsen and Christopher Abdul Kamara culpable for the offence of Conspiracy to Commit Corruption Offence.

The presiding Judge further noted that since the prosecution has failed to adduced evidence against the Isha Johansson and Christopher Abdul Kamara in respect of the indictments preferred against the then defendants, he has alternative but to acquitted and discharge the then indictees.

 He also intimated the court that the charges brought against the then indictees were by no means frivolous but commended the defense team for Isha Johannsen and Christopher Abdul Kamara for their commitment and co-operation throughout the trial process.

Moreover, the judgment delivered by Hon Justice Reginald Fynn has finally give way for the association to hold it National Congress election, so as to enable the Sierra Leone Football Association inaugurate a new executive that would run the day- to- day affairs of the association and at the same time end the Federation of International Football Association ban of Sierra Leone.

It should be noted that this is the first case the Anti-Corruption Commission has lost to Isha Johannsen and Christopher Abdul Kamara under the regime of Barrister Francis Ben Kaifala as Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission.

The State was represented by Zimbabwean-born Barrister Calvin Mantesebo, while Isha Johansen and Christopher Abdul Kamara were defended by Lawyer Aricanus Sorie Sesay and Brima Koroma from Tanner Legal Advisory Law Firm.
