Rumors say, Johansson, after her reinstatement as SLFA president will not allow the current Board to go ahead with the ongoing Premier League.

Many people say Johnson’s rumored decision could not be unconnected with the fact that her premier league side, F.C Johanson is currently not participating in the league which she considers illegal.

However, many Sierra Leoneans are happy that yesterday’s court judgement will see FIFA’s indefinite ban on Sierra Leone being lifted any time from soon.

Johanson and Kamara were suspended from office after their indictments as dictated by the country’s anti-graft law for people standing trial for corruption. But FIFA took exception to the suspension and banned the country from all its activities saying it amounted to government interference.

Now that they have been acquitted and discharged, the duo will return to office and FIFA might reinstate the country.

It can be recalled that following a meeting with the FIFA President and Secretary General last year, Sierra Leone’s Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh told newsmen that he had been assured by the football world governing body that regardless of the outcome of the case, the ban on the country would be lifted once the matter was concluded in court.

The ACC in a press release issued last evening said the ACC, which has as its bedrock, adherence to the due process, accepts the judgment of the court while its prosecutors are reviewing our next steps in line with the law.

The Department of Prosecution will therefore review the judgment and the decision of the court, and a decision will be taken in due course whether or not to appeal the judgment.

The Commission reaffirmed its position that a public official standing trial has to stand suspended until the end of the trial.

The ACC stated that the trial has now ended and that Madam Johansen and Mr. Kamara will henceforth continue to serve as President and Secretary General respectively of the SLFA going forward without any interference or hindrance from the ACC.

The Commission has reassured the general public of its resolve to fight corruption and pursue justice at all times without fear or favor.
