He was alleged to have possess stun gun , in contravention of the Arms and Ammunition act 2012, part (4) Section (11)of the laws of Sierra Leone, which stated that  no person have in his possession , custody or control any small arms or light weapon , unless that person holds a license issued by the registrar under this act.

According to reporting emerging from that part of the country where the fearless and ambitious politician was currently under ‘state detention’,  indicated that his arrested was unconnected to the recent local council  bye election,  held in Ward 025, Constituency 007in  Segbwema town,  Njalauhun Chiefdom in the Kailahun District.

The young and energetic Chairman and Leader of the opposition Alliance Democratic Party, Mohamed Kamaraimba Mansaray was arrested on the orders of the Local Unit Commander of  Daru Police Station, Superintendent Kashew Kargbo,

Moreover, Mohamed Kamaraimba’s arrested was affected in Freetown, on Thursday 31 May 2017, and he was subsequently incarcerated at the Criminal Investigation Department cell, on Pademba road in the central part of Freetown.

Reports further stated that following his arrest on the above aforementioned date, he was whisked to eastern district town of Daru, where statement was obtained from him, in respect of the matter under investigation.

Up to press time, the African Young Voices gathered that the Chairman and Leader of the Alliance Democratic Party is expected to appear in the Daru magistrate court today 5th June 2017 to answer to the charges put to him by the court Registrar.
