The new towers installed across the districts have added more feathers to NATCOM led by Momoh Konte.

In response to regulatory requirements and felt needs of underserved communities in remote parts of the country, the new communication sites were launched over the weekend in the mountainous terrains of Sama Bendugu, Alkalia and Gbentu communities in the Tonkolili and Koinadugu districts respectively.

The occasion was graced by local chiefs, Members of Parliament, Government ministers and characterized by singing, drumming and dancing as an outburst of joy and appreciation of the locals.
Speaking, Momoh Kemoh Konte, Chairman and Commissioner NATCOM, the national telecoms regulatory authority highlighted the importance of telecom to the lives and welfare of communities across the globe, adding that Bendugu, Alkalia and Gbentu have joined the global village and would now share its opportunities.
He cautioned the community to secure the infrastructure and keep it clean at all times.
Chairman Konte gave statistics of the growth in data and voice in the last few years.
He appealed to Mobile Network Operators to connect more people to more services and to deliver good quality of service to consumers.
