He was arrested during a police raid on the Sport Night Club on Regent Road. He denies being part of the group responsible for the commotion at the nightclub. Kelfala Edward was arrested in August 2016 and consequently charged with conspiracy. Kelfala was arrested because one of the suspects in the larceny matter, John Kaloko had alleged giving him fifty thousand leones (Le 50, 000).

Lawyer Daboh drew the attention of the court to the failure of prosecution witnesses to testify in the trial which he blamed for the delay. This is despite several adjournments.

He said in the matter against John Foday 32, the complainant, Mathew Bami testify once.  In the case of Kelfala Edward 26, the prosecution witness appeared twice in ten adjournments.  While for Arun Conteh 29, the prosecution was absent for all the nine adjournments.

Against this backdrop, Magistrate Emmanuella Harding upheld the application and the matters were discharged accordingly.
