Minister of Lands and Country Planning, Dr. Turad Senesie has reflected on the importance of the fair distribution of land to civil servants and vulnerable groups through a raffle draw.

He said this is aligned with His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s vision of land ownership for all citizens, adding that in 3 years, the government has allocated 4182 town lots to ordinary Sierra Leoneans.

Additionally, he highlighted initiatives that have been undertaken to facilitate homeownership for Sierra Leoneans residing abroad, with the involvement of housing companies like TAF Sierra Leone.

Dr. Turad Senesie also unveiled a digital platform, (app.molhcp.gov.sl), which allows citizens to apply for state lands, and building permits, and track the progress of their land papers online.

Dr. Turad Senesie reported a significant increase in revenue generation within the Ministry, attributing it to reforms and innovations. In terms of revenue mobilization, Minister Dr. Turad reported a significant increase in revenue generation in the Ministry from Nle600,000 Leones previously to now over Nle34 million.
