In his statement one of the participants, John Sundima Muana said they attended the leadership program in Ghana and were mandated to do a community service project, adding that the program is based on how young people can positively transform the people and their peers in their communities as future leaders, disclosing further that it is on that background that they visited the Magazine community to sensitize the youth on the danger of illicit use of drugs.

He disclosed that young people are branded as future leaders but illicit drug use is one thing that is destroying youth, adding that they are embarking on the sensitization for youth to minimize taking drugs illicitly in order for them to have meaningful lives in society.

“This is a very sensitive issue as we all know and we are just starting this thing,” Muana said; adding that they are very passionate about it because it is really destroying our youth.
According to Muana they chose to sensitize on drug abuse because it destroys life and affects the progress and development of all other key sectors.
