The ministry’s head office in Freetown would soon become the envy of ministries in Sierra Leone while other parts of the country including Kenema would soon forget about paying rents in small offices.
In Freetown, the Minister is currently expanding the ministry’s building that was being branded as a one-room ministry, to a massive ultra-modern structure that will allow officials of the ministry the conducive environment to work.
The small building (rural development house) constructed in 1986 that used to house the minister, director of gender, deputy director of gender and the conference room, is now being expanded to a multi-purpose structure befitting the ministry’s status.
In Kenema, a massive structure is also being erected for the ministry courtesy of the massive infrastructural drive of the minister.
These efforts of the minister are being widely lauded by people from various works of life as his undertaking is a step in the right direction.
