Conex will be receiving 3,000 metric tons of petrol and 2,100 metric tons of diesel on 18th December, 2022.

Already, Petrol Leone has received 18,000 metric tons of diesel, while 15,000 metric tons of petrol arrived yesterday 15th December, 2022 all on behalf of National Petroleum.

The Petroleum Regulatory Agency has informed that, there will be no change in retail pump prices this month, and that dealers and the general public should dispel all rumors of price increase.

According to a press release from the agency dated 15th December 2022, the emergence of queues at some gas stations in major cities is as a result of some hinderances and disruption of the planned import and supply chain despite many actions taken by the Government and the Agency to restore normalcy.

The release however clarified that there is enough diesel, Jet Fuel and MFO projected to serve the market up to February 2023.

This according to information from the agency will last the country beyond the festivity period.

“The purpose of Petroleum Pricing Regulation is to cap the retail prices of petroleum products which are already in the country so that importation and other prudently incurred costs are recovered while ensuring reasonable prices for consumers,” the release stated.
