Kono district’s Member of Parliament, Honourable Saa Emerson Lamina has urged the Minister of Youth Affairs, Mohamed Oman Bangura to develop a Policy Paper on how to combat the rampant use of ‘Kush’ by young Sierra Leoneans.

The Call for the Youths Affairs Minister to table such a policy was made in the Well of Parliament during the approval of several presidential nominees including Minister Bangura.

Hon. Lamina who is also the Deputy Leader-2 of Government Business, hailed the reappointment of Minister Oman Bangura citing “his tremendous achievements in that Ministry relative to the creation of huge employment”.

The Call for a Policy Paper to combat Kush, as made by Hon. Lamina, has received positive acclamation amongst Sierra Leone citizens on social media.

Kush is a very dangerous drug manufactured using chemicals that alter the consciousness of those who take it; leaving them weak and too incapacitated to do anything productive.

In recent years, the youth of Sierra Leone have taken to the use of synthetic marijuana/drug called ‘Kush. It is popularly known to be a variant of marijuana (weed), which a lot of young folks smoke nowadays to, as they say, make them feel good.
