The witness, Momoh Kamara intimated the court that, he recognized the two accused persons charged with murder as members of the Sami Town Community via Sumailai Town on the hills of Freetown and vividly recalled Sunday 9th August 2015.

Momoh Kamara further explained that, on that fateful Sunday eve, he had just returned from his residence and was standing in front of his shop at a particular intercession within the Sami Town Community, when he saw the firs prosecution witness in the matter, Isatu Kargbo running towards him and begging him to save her dear life from the hands of the first and second accused persons who were chasing her.

The witness went on to state that whilst enquiring from Isatu Kargbo as to what the problem was, the first and second accused barged in at the scene but that he pleaded with them to stop pursuing first prosecution witness, Isatu Kagbo, but that the accused persons became more furious and desperate and could not heed to his advice.

He further informed the court that whiles he was pleading with them, Isatu Kargbo dashed into the deceased, Joseph Fobie’s room and the second accused, Abdulai Kamara went in grabbed the deceased and dragged him out of the room, adding that in the process, one Hassan who was together with the deceased fled the scene as a result the beaten the first accused received in the hands of the accused persons.

According to Momoh Kamara, he vividly saw the first accused, Santigie Mansaray pulled out a knife from his back pocket and stabbed Joseph Fobie on his neck.

He further narrated that Joseph Fobie later fell on the ground and blood profusely started oozing out of him.

He also intimated his audience that, minutes later Joseph was stabbed, the two accused persons disappeared into thin air living the deceased in a pool of blood as youths in the area rushed with him to the Connaught Hospital in Freetown for treatment, where he later met his death.

He concluded by stating that he and one military police officer, SGT Gibrilla went to the New England Police Division but they were later transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department on Pademba Road in Freetown where statement was obtained from him in respect of the alleged murder case.

The matter comes up on Wednesday, 9th Septembe,r 2015.

Meanwhile, one Idrissa Bobson Kanu who is charged with the offence of obtaining credits by false pretences and issuing fake Check has been remanded at the Male Correctional Centre on the orders of Magistrate, Komba Kamanda of Court No.1 in Freetown.

Led in evidence by police SGT 5984 Fofanah IG, the witness, detective police, Lansana Kanneh attached to the Crime Writers Office at the Criminal Investigation Department explained that he recalled 28 July 2015.

He said that, on the said date, he was on duty when detective police constable Mansaray brought in the accused persons together with one Sierra Leone Commercial Bank check with a face value of twenty million leones including a bank statement.

Another detective police constable, Alimu Mansaray who also testified in the same matter before Magistrate Komba Kamanda intimated that he and police constable Kamara investigated the accused person on diverse dates in respect of the matter

According to him, the accused is the owner of Roneta Construction and General Suppliers and that the records shows that the accused had issued a bounce check to his business counterparts knowing fully well that it was fake. The matter was adjourned to Wednesday, 9th September, 2015.
