The Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) has received an application to register a brand-new political party to be named as the Popular Patriotic Reformation Movement (PPRM).
The PPRC said: “Pursuant to Section 22(2) of the Political Parties Act No. 25 of 2022, the public is hereby informed that the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC), has published in the Sierra Leone Gazette (Vol CLXIV No. 25A) the Constitution of the Popular Patriotic Reformation Movement (PPRM)”.
According to the PPRC the publication in the gazette was done on Tuesday 2nd May 2023 and will last for 30 days on to Wednesday 31st May 2023.
Consequently, the PPRC has invited objections from the public, to any of the provision(s) of the Constitution of the Movement.
The PPRC advises that all objections “must be forwarded to the PPRC Office at OAU Drive, Tower Hill, Freetown or via email at email@example.com/ firstname.lastname@example.org” and must be done not later than the close of business on 31st May, 2023.
The Commission furthered that the gazette can be purchased from the Government Bookshop at Wallace Johnson Street in Freetown.
