In a bid to foster open and transparent communication between the State House and media organisations, the newly appointed Press Secretary, Solomon Jamiru, paid a courtesy visit to the prestigious AYV Media Empire earlier today. The visit aimed to establish a strong working relationship, enhance mutual cooperation and promote a shared understanding of the president’s policies and initiatives.

Jamiru was warmly received by management staff and journalists of the AYV Media Empire. The meeting took place in the state-of-the-art headquarters of the AYV, where both parties engaged in fruitful discussions regarding the role of the media in promoting good governance and disseminating accurate information to the public.

Jamiru expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and emphasised the president’s commitment to upholding press freedom and ensuring transparency in its dealings with the media. He acknowledged the vital role that AYV plays in informing the public about government policies, programs and developments.

In his remarks, Jamiru stated, “The media is a critical partner in nation-building. We recognise the importance of working together to foster an environment that promotes fair and accurate reporting. Our aim is to establish strong communication channels and provide timely and reliable information to the public.”

Samuel Wise Bangura, a senior journalist of the AYV expressed the company’s appreciation on behalf of the CEO Amb. Anthony Navo Jr. for the visit and welcomed the government’s efforts to strengthen collaboration with the AYV Media Empire. He emphasised the AYV’s commitment to upholding professional standards and providing unbiased coverage of national affairs.

The company’s Director of News and Current Affairs, Amadu Lamrana Bah reiterated the role AYV played in the just concluded elections and coverage of the presidency both locally and internationally with a dedicated team assigned to the State House.

He appealed for much cooperation and continued collaboration between the two institutions.

The discussions encompassed various topics, including the government’s development agenda, public engagement initiatives and the role of the media in holding public officials accountable. Both parties expressed their willingness to engage in regular dialogues and explore opportunities for joint projects, such as press briefings, interviews and public awareness campaigns.
