The National Grand Coalition (NGC) Party has postponed its National Delegates Conference/Convention to now hold on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th December, 2022 at the Freetown City Council Auditorium, for Eight Hundred and Two Delegates, drawn from Constituencies, Districts, Regional and National levels of the Party.

The all-important meeting was initially slated for 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th December, 2022.

According to the Party’s Secretariat, there will now be a re-run districts (Kenema and Western Rural) elections on Thursday 8th December, Regional elections on 9th December, Youth and Women’s convention on Saturday 10th December, and NEC meeting and registration of delegates on Sunday 11th December, 2022 with the theme: ‘Decision Time, Put Salone Fos’.

The final day will also feature the National Executive Election which will see a hard but peaceful contest between Dr. Denis Bright and Mr. Joseph Maada Kpulun for the leadership of the Party.

Prior to the commencement of the 4-day intense Conference on Thursday, the Party will today Tuesday 6th December, 2022, hold its remaining District Election countrywide.

After the petition hold ups recently, the party has vowed to reform itself as a formidable democratic institution and has now put together over 9,000 executive all over Sierra Leone.

It can be recalled that the Party has also lately been providing credible opposition voice and articulating alternatives to solutions in issues of national development.

The Party has also recently been very active in challenging issues of current economic crisis and depreciation of the country’s currency.

Recently, the Party’s 2018 Presidential Candidate and Leader in Parliament, Hon. Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella flew the country’s flag higher at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
