 They went on to state that they would assist the police to expose fake flood victims and would even lead the police to their respective homes.

They also called on the government to include them in the process of identifying and verification of people affected by the said disaster.

The police personnel  at the Kanigo and Malama communities  emergency response center had  issued  stern  warning  to people who were in  the habit of impersonating  as victims of mudslide and flooding  in Freetown and its environs immediate .

Furthermore, flood and landslide victims at Kaningo and Malama appealed to government and other humanitarian organizations for more assistance, as most of the relief items were being distributed to the wrong people posing as victims.
