The Sierra Leone Police has increased the ransom of 12 Most Wanted Fugitives in connection with the failed coup of November 26, 2023, from NLe50,000 to NLe70,000per person.

The notice, released with photos of the individuals involved, states: “If seen please contact, CID headquarters on Pademba road in Freetown, the nearest police station or call any of the following numbers: 900 or 119. A handsome reward will be given to anyone who provides useful information leading to the arrest of these suspects.”

In a recent notice, the SLP issued the amount of 50,000 for the arrest of wanted fugitives in connection with the failed coup of November 26, 2023.

In other separate public notice, the Sierra Leone Police is calling on unlawfully released prisoners or suspects to surrender at the nearest police station. Those who fail to comply may face potential arrest and prosecution for “Escape from Lawful Custody.”

The SLP seeks collaboration from the public, encouraging individuals with pertinent information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
