He informed the Congregation that the PPRC and its EPG during the just concluded 2018 elections called on Rev. Fr. Davies to use his good office to mediate between the two presidential candidates given that both of them belong to the same parish.

“He received us in his very humble way and offered prayers for God’s intervention. He assured us that he will seek God’s guidance in what we asked of him” he added.

The Rev. Fr Davies he said brought together Dr. Samura Kamara and our now President Bio offering prayers for both of them during the run off, and as a good Parish priest has continued to minister to them.

“Father Vincent has been for us a wonderful mediator, an exemplary cleric and his humility is unrivalled”, he continued.

He underscored that Rev. Fr Davies is a symbol of peace in Sierra Leone.

In his response with tears, Rev. Fr.  Davies thanked the PPRC and the EPG for recognizing his role as the priest of HE President Maada Bio and Dr Samura Kamara.  He dedicated the Peace Symbol to the Church and Sierra Leoneans and said that the Peace Symbol be placed in the church as it belongs to God.
