His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio has appointed former Member of Parliament, Honourable Alusine Kanneh as Sierra Leone’s new Chief Immigration Officer.
Hon. Kanneh worked as a specialist in Immigration matters in Norway and has served as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee that had oversight of all Internal Affairs including the Immigration Department.
The outgoing Chief Immigration Officer, Andrew Jaiah Kaikai has now been appointed Executive Director of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency. He will lead the topical and critically important fight against the abuse of drugs by Sierra Leone citizens.
The abuse of a dangerous drug known as Kush has become rampant in Sierra Leone and the subregion.
