Monday 25th April, the President officially launched the road project between Wellington and Masiaka. During the launch of the road project, many meaningful and rightful thinking Sierra Leoneans were left in a state of uncertainty with the statement of the President and other government representatives who graced the launch including the Whip in the House of Parliament, Hon. Claude Kamanda.
T-Shirts were printed with inscriptions of ‘Munku rule munkus’ and worn by almost all government representatives. The statements from the President and slogans chatted by APC members were not unconnected to the Munku bos pas matches song of Emerson.
Also the Independence Day Speech of the President was not unconnected to Emerson’s song. But as an independent nation, should our leaders’ concentration be on defending themselves against the indictment of their people? This is a worrisome trail of our country.
