Staffs from the National Revenue Authority, Audit Service Sierra Leone and the Bank of Sierra Leone are attending a 4-day Masterclass on Corporate and Board Governance together with participants from various African countries at the Sheraton Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

With the theme “Building a resilient and sustainable Board Post Covid-19”, the training provides a comprehensive analysis on topics like board strategy development, effective risk oversight, talent management, structuring and value addition, post pandemic risk environment, among many others.

During a brief visit, Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the UAE, Rashid Sesay said that he was pleased with the contents of the programme, saying that would provide further knowledge into resource generation, mobilisation and management in Sierra Leone.

Chairperson, Board of Directors, National Revenue Authority and leader of delegation, Dr. Tuma Adama Gento-Kamara said that they were excited to attend the training noting that the details of the course would equip them with the relevant skills to lead on a board level.

The Board and Corporate Governance Masterclass is an annual training course geared towards strengthening the ability of senior management staff to serve the strategic governance needs of their institutions. This year’s edition focused on post Covid-19 economic recovery strategies.
