Sierra Leonean taekwondo athlete, George Edward Holland won the bronze medal at the African Taekwondo Championship in Ivory Coast on November 5-6, 2023.

Holland, the captain of the Sierra Leone team, fought valiantly to earn the medal. Manson, on the other hand, was defeated by his Ghanaian opponent in the important competition, which served as a point ranking for the World Taekwondo and for Olympic qualification.

Oness Abayomi Johnson, the president of the Sierra Leone Taekwondo Association, expressed his delight at Holland’s outstanding performance, which helped Sierra Leone gain more points and improve its ranking in the sport.
