Speaking at the unveiling ceremony Francis Travo Samura, the chief executive officer of the Sierra Leone cricket association, said Cricket has been one of the finest sporting disciplines in the country as a result of its integral role in showcasing the talents of the country in the international scene.

He pointed out that why Members of the Sierra Leone cricket association unveiled the 2016 cricket kits at the Kingtom police hall. These cricket kits, he said  is  geared toward preparing the men cricket national team for the ICC World Cricket league Division 2 competition in Johannesburg, South Africa. He noted that since the inception of the Ebola outbreak in the country, the men cricket national team has not participated in any international competition.

 

14 players will be leaving the shores of Sierra Leone for South Africa to take part in the ICC World Cricket league Division 2 competition. Sierra Leoneans are hoping that the team brings laurels for the country.
