The CEO furthered that; government has initially introduced the Public Private Partnership (PPP) approach and the Total Quality Model (TQM) in the value chain supply to improve value service production.

He noted that, SLIEPA was established by the government of Sierra Leone in a bid to address and promote investment principles in line with international best practices adding that SLIEPA would like to sustain and maintain competitiveness for local manufacturers across the length and breadth of Sierra Leone with value added services.

He said, positioning your business is very much key in any business setting that wants to operate in conjunction with the value chain line noting that joint venture is what is needed to move forward as a country.

“I believe in regional integration in doing business better with authentic collaborative effort”, SLIEPA CEO noted and assured that SLIEPA will continue to educate the nation on the need for improving on investment and also facilitating export protocols.

Mr. Thomas disclosed that lack of skills among Sierra Leoneans is the main problem that is affecting the country in the global community in terms of improving investment opportunities to promote economic transformation and pleaded to Sierra Leoneans to portray the good image of the country in the global market than portraying bad image.

He added that, government will continue to make the business environment friendly by sustaining electricity supply, good roads network, strengthening security sector among other relevant issues for the growth of the country.

He advised business people to understand their rivals in the business world and mentioned that business people should always know how to appear competitive in doing business with standard packaging.

He commended participants for contributing positively during the seminar with constructive and productive responses.
