They will also make use of their respective possibilities to stimulate trade and investments as well as mutual cooperation among their associated members so as to establish regular exchange of publications edited by both institutions about trade and economic opportunities which might be of interest to both parties.
Both institutions will encourage within their possibilities non-traditional forms of trade such as production in cooperation, joint ventures and others and to exchange commercial missions to keep in contact with each other  the entrepreneurs of both countries and contribute with expertise and experiences to the organisation of events held by them or their associated members both in Sierra Leone and in Belgium in order to attain thorough knowledge of the trade possibilities between both parties.
SLIEPA and the Belgian Chamber of Commerce to exchange information about international fairs and exhibitions to be held in Sierra Leone and in Belgium as well as to grant each other the widest cooperation and technical support within their possibilities to encourage the participation of the respective enterprises and entities in the events of their interest.
They will provide the entrepreneurs from both countries with the information, indications and assessments which will contribute to the development of their activities in the other country. With this purpose, the solicitors of information will be provided with a letter of introduction by the institution from their country.
The present Agreement came into effect on the day of its signing and will be valid until one of the parties sends a notice of cancellation at least (3) months in advance.
After the signing ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of SLIEPA, Raymond Gbekie described the signing of the MoU as a milestone towards economic growth in the country.
He added that the MoU signifies SLIEPA’s commitment and determination in exploring investment opportunities to boost post ebola recovery.
The SLIEPA CEO expressed thanks and appreciation to the Belgian Government for supporting Sierra Leone and also commended the Belgian Chamber of Commerce for signing the agreement and assured for continued partnership to promote trade and investment.
The Special Envoy and Director of Mission for the Belgian Chamber of Commerce, Jacques Evrard said they intend to facilitate trade and investment to promote economic recovery in Sierra Leone.
He said there are many companies in Belgium intending to invest in Sierra Leone and applauded the signing of the MoU with SLIEPA.
