We are fully aware that the SLPP had and still has a basket full of issues to address in line with the determination to win the 2018 Presidential and Parliamentary elections yet it is a common saying that charity begins at home and, therefore, those things at home which tend to impede progress and the welfare of the SLPP should be the priority of the National Executive and total membership including SLPP’s sitting Members of Parliament.

For the Members of Parliament, some of the decisions you may take now will be unpleasant to some supporters of certain aspirants but the fact is that you are doing purely in the best interest of the party and the entire membership for a total victory in 2018. What is important at the moment for SLPP is for them to act speedily and consciously to live up to the expectations required of them.

Please note that the fate of this nation after the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) regime will be squarely on your lap. And well-meaning Sierra Leoneans and various friends of the international community will be behind you solidly to change the ugly socio-economic situation Sierra Leone is going through at the moment.

Please take note that the three meals or any balanced diet is hardly achievable to the average Sierra Leonean. Those who can afford certain items in the market are at the mercy of greedy and selfish importers.

The SLPP should therefore begin to think about with a common sense of belonging. They should refrain from camping be it Pa-o-Pa or KKY groups.

I will therefore conclude that a political party like the SLPP should begin to think about winning and not waning. I am optimistic that if the SLPP put their house in order by the end of 2016, the sky will be their limit for 2018.
