This short documentary summarises the remarkable top 10 achievements of Honorable Dr. Patricia Nyanga Laverley as Deputy Minister of Finance under the SLPP Administration of His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio between May 2018 and December 2021.

1. Led policy dialogue in the restoration of the IMF program with the Government of Sierra Leone in 2018.
2. Instrumental in the establishment of the Economic Management Team to determine policies for sound management of Sierra Leone’s economy.
3. Managed Sierra Leone’s Pubic Financial Management Reform Strategy and Action Plan (2018-2023) focused on policy measures to be undertaken by the Ministry of Finance between 2018 and 2023.
4. Led the Parliamentary ratification of legislative instruments between 2018 and 2021. Over 60 legislative instruments were approved by the House of Parliament, including the National Budget for three consecutive years (2018, 2019, and 2020), Bank of Sierra Leone and the Banking Act (2019), financing agreements, etc.
5. Led the negotiation, approval, and commencement of work for the construction of the new Lungi Airport Terminal. At the 2019 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), made an appealing case for China’s support of the proposed Lungi Bridge.
6. As part of the Economic Management Team, established Sierra Leone’s Multi-Donor Trust Fund used to channel funds from the World Bank, Irish Aid, EU, and the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office to support the Flagship Free Quality Education program, from which payments are now made for exam fees (NPSE, BECE, WASSCE), tuition, teaching and learning materials, uniforms, school feeding, etc.
7. Worked with UNOPs on the procurement of agricultural machinery to advance mechanized farming in the country, tractors, caterpillars, power tillers, combined harvesters, etc.

8. Played a lead role in mobilizing all COVID- funds, which eventually led to the low mortality rate in the country.

9. Worked with Freetown City Council on the construction of the new Freetown City Council Complex.

10. Ensured all government salaries were regularly paid on time and mobilized the highest budget support from donors which resulted in the highest level of official reserves ever received by the Government of Sierra Leone.
