The week-long series of high-level meetings brings together trade officials and ministers from across the continent to strengthen Africa’s economic integration under the AfCFTAframework. The Minister is expected to take part in several critical engagements, including:

The 4th Ministerial Retreat of the Council of Ministers Responsible for Trade, held on 15 September at the Waldorf Astoria Cairo Heliopolis.

The 17th meeting of the Council of Ministers Responsible for Trade is set for 16 September at the same venue.

The Business Forum organized by AfCFTA Trading Companies and the AfCFTA Secretariat, taking place on the morning of 16 September at the Hilton Cairo Heliopolis, where Min Sesay will be in attendance for the official opening ceremony.

This visit underlines Sierra Leone’s continued commitment to deepening regional trade integration and leveraging digital innovations to boost intra-African trade.
