The Ministry of Transport and Aviation in Sierra Leone has reached an agreement with the Motor Drivers Union and other key stakeholders in the Transport Sector to adjust public transportation fares in response to the recent increase in fuel prices.

As of Wednesday, 2nd August 2023, fares within the Freetown Municipality and on Provincial/Across-Border Routes was updated to reflect the new pricing structure.

The decision aims to address the impact of the fuel price hike on public transportation costs and ensure fair adjustments for commuters.
