She further noted that quality health care service is a key in the development of any Country. ‘No Country can move forward without better health care service delivery, I think this is a laudable venture by Dr. Shuman in alleviating the health care crises in the Country”. She said.

Addressing guests present, the owner and proprietor of the hospital, Dr. Shuman cheerfully expressed his gratitude to all those that supported him in diverse ways to achieve his dream of giving back to Community.

Born in Kono District, Dr. Shuman said this has been a long time dream having served as a clinician in major hospitals in Sierra Leone.

“Having served as clinician for five (5) years, I left for Lebanon to further my studies to adequately prepare myself for this venture. It wasn’t easy to put this building together, I can clearly state that this hospital has qualified doctors and equipment to cater for almost every category of illness.

“Giving the perception of ordinary residents that private hospitals are very expensive, let me use this opportunity to state that ‘Shuman Hospital’ will be accessible and affordable by all irrespective of one’s financial strength, as our rooms are fully air conditioned with exceptional sanitary condition; and the hospital provides services from general medicine, general surgery and Gynecology’, he said.

Dr. Shuman ended up by assuring that the hospital will be for ordinary Sierra Leone and admonished all to visit the hospital for better health care services delivery.

The ceremony was climaxed with doctors, members of the Lebanese community, the Lebanese ambassador to Sierra Leone, the press and dignitaries from Ministry of health.
