The National Secretariat of the All People’s Congress (APC) has published the official list of candidates and the updated Register of Eligible Voters for the party’s constituency elections scheduled for Saturday, 11 July 2026, as preparations intensify for the nationwide internal polls.
Announcing the publication, the APC National Secretary-General, Lansana Dumbuya, said the exercise reflects the party’s commitment to transparency, due process, and strict adherence to its constitution.
“The publication of the official candidate list and the updated Register of Eligible Voters underscores our commitment to ensuring a transparent, credible and constitutionally compliant electoral process,” Dumbuyastated.
According to the National Secretariat, the list of approved candidates has been uploaded to the party’s official website, apcsl.net, where members can access details of those who completed the electronic nomination process.
The Secretariat, however, clarified that the online publication includes only candidates who submitted their nominations electronically. Aspirants whose applications were submitted manually and subsequently approved by the National Secretary-General are required to present their signed application forms to Presiding Officers at their respective polling centres before voting commences for verification and validation.
In addition to the candidate list, the APC has republished the Register of Eligible Voters and has urged members across the country to carefully examine the register and promptly report any genuine omissions, discrepancies, or other concerns.
The Party has set 12:00 noon on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, as the deadline for submitting complaints or requests for corrections, warning that no further amendments or objections will be entertained after the stipulated time.
The publication of both the candidate list and the voters register marks a significant milestone in the party’s preparations for the constituency elections, which are expected to shape the APC’s grassroots leadership structure ahead of future national political activities.
The APC leadership has reaffirmed its commitment to conducting peaceful, free, fair, and transparent constituency elections and has called on party members, candidates, and supporters to cooperate with electoral officials and abide by the party’s rules throughout the process.
Political observers say the credibility of the constituency elections will be crucial in strengthening internal democracy, fostering party unity, and building confidence among members as the APC continues its organizational reforms and preparations for future electoral contests.
