Speaking at the retreat, the CEO extended appreciation to staff and Sierra Leoneans in general who made it possible for the institution to succeed in events like the Presidential Debate, Big Sister Sierra Leone and the up-coming Miss Sierra Leone University 2018.

He emphasized that AYV staff should now be focused and make more improvements to achieve the AYV Dream. He added that staff must also endeavor to inspire their colleagues and junior staff to do more. He added that the culture of ownership should be part of each and everyone because he didn’t create AYV for himself but for the young generation. “So everyone’s cooperation is very important to make the institution continue to grow,” Ambassador Navo added.

The Managing Director Dr. Duramany Lakkoh who was the chairman for the retreat pointed out that everyone takes their responsibility seriously whilst encouraging that everyone should work towards improving the institution.

The Deputy Managing Director who doubles as Human Resource Manager, Mrs. Brigitte Darlton-Sesay pointed out that more improvements will be done in terms of safety, security measures, and welfare of staff.

She also said that the institution will be coming up with bigger plans come 2019.
