The young leader with crotches in the photo below is Sierra Leone’s Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Ing. Musa Timothy Kabba popularly known as Tim Kabba.

He was involved in a gruesome accident a month or two ago, but his passion and determination towards re-electing His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio seemed to have surpassed the pain he is feeling, hence, refused to be bedridden or wallow in self-pity, when there is work to be done.

Many SLPP members and supporters said: “This could however not have come as a surprise to many of us in the SLPP, owning to the fact that this year’s campaign has been a youth led one both Nationally and Internationally, and our Leader His Excellency Julius Maada Bio and wife First Lady Fatima Maada Bio and Kandeh Yumkella has shown exemplary courage and commitment (under rain and sun) to ensure no one is left behind in this crucial process.

“Big respect to Tim for being robust foot soldier in the days leading to June 24 polls.

Prior to his appointment as Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Tim was the Director-General of the Petroleum Directorate. He is an oil and gas engineer. Before joining the Petroleum Directorate, he was the project management consultant for Total E & P C LTD.

He also worked as a Drilling Engineer and a Reservoir Engineer at the LUKOIL Overseas Offshore Project. As Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Tim is responsible for the implementation of the Mines and Minerals Act 2009 working in close partnership with the National Minerals Agency.
