Sierra Leone’s Youth Envoy, Yulisa Ahmadu has engaged the Turkish Ambassador to Sierra Leone to discuss job opportunities for young people.

The engagement was focused on three key areas – agriculture, youth skills development and scholarships for the youth in Sierra Leone.

The two discussed how these areas could be leveraged to create jobs for young people and improve their economic prospects.

Yulisa said President Dr. Julius Maada Bio’s vision is to create 500,000 jobs for the young people in his 2nd term in office.

He twitted: “As Youth Envoy, I just had a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Sierra Leoneto discuss potential opportunities in agriculture, youth skills development and scholarships for the youth in Sierra Leone.

“Our conversation was focused on exploring ways to create new avenues for growth and development in these areas.”

He said his engagement with the ambassador was a success, with both parties agreeing on the need to prioritise job creation for young people in Sierra Leone.
