In his testimony in court, the lead prosecuting witness of the Sierra Leone Police Force, Dr. Semion Owiss Koroma told the court that he inspected the remains of Mushod Kamara on the 29 August 2015 at the Government Mortuary at Lightfoot Boston Street in Freetown.

 

He further disclosed that he received instructions from the Coroner to conduct a Postmortem Examination on the remains of thirty nine years old Mushod Kamara of No. 8 Wharf Road in Goderich along the Freetown- Peninsular road in the far west of the country’s capital.

 

Dr. Semion Owiss Koroma said that the deceased was identified to him by one Osman Salieu Kamara, a relative of the deceased, the Investigating Officer Detective Sergeant, Kabbah. M.D and Detective Sergeant Conteh attached to the Criminal Investigation Department on Pademba Road in Freetown. 

 

He went on to inform the court that the Postmortem Examination result including the medical Death Certificate was handed over to the deceased relatives for a dignified burial and the Sierra Leone police and his department for record purposes.

 

Dr. Semion Owiss Koroma told the court that the deceased, Mushod Kamara died as a result of massive intra cerebra damages due to a blunt force on his neck coupled with expensive fracture of a bone including other serious internal damages.

 

When cross examined by Counsel for the accused, lawyer Fio Edwards whether the witness could ascertain the health status of the deceased, Mushod Kamara before his death on the 20th August 2015? Dr. Semion Owiss Koroma responded in the negative.
