New NDA Boss Lauds SL Resilience

He commended Government’s effort in the fight against the EVD and the post- Ebola precautions which he said are going in the right direction. He adviced all to continue with the habit of hand washing, avoid washing the dead and call on 117; so as to prevent a reoccurrence of the EVD.

Mr Barrie was speaking on Friday at NDA’s headquarter on Mountain Cut in Freetown, during a press briefing updating the public about the NDA party, post- conference information and other issues.

He said the National Delegates Conference, a bi-annual event, which was held on the November 7 2015, was halted due to a court order restraining such an activity. “The NDA party is a law abiding institution, which is why we decided to discontinue the conference”, he clarified. He informed the matter has been taken to the court of law.

NDA’s newly-elected leader, Mohamed C. Bah, pleaded with Sierra Leoneans to end regionalism and look at each other as Sierra Leoneans. He admonished the august gathering that the cycle of revenge will not take the country anywhere and appealed that all grudges be buried. He suggested to his audience to find “a common peace for the prosperity o f the nation.

“Peace is the solution to our problems and peace involves our collected effort”, the new boss stressed.
