The eight accused persons are also charged with the offenses of Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Murder and Arson Dwelling House, which negate Section (2) of the Malicious Damage Act of the laws of Sierra Leone.

The state alleged that Alakeh Olive Johnson, Eustace Omar Masjid Cole, Edward Joseph Moijue, John Turay, Abdul Rashid Jalloh, Tommy Joseph, Alie Conteh and Chernor Bah conspired together with unknown individuals to murder Pharmacist Adeyemi Patrick Johnson at his 65 Old Railway Line residence at Wilberforce in the west part of Freetown.

Evidence so far adduced at the trial indicated that the eight alleged murderers committed the said offenses on diverse dates, between 8 November 2012 and 12 November 2012 within the Freetown Judicial District in of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

The charge sheet further states that after the accused persons had murdered Adeyemi Patrick Johnson on one of the above stated date, they stole his Toyota Saloon car with Registration Number; AGW 112, one laptop computer, valuable household items, and later set the deceased Adeyemi Patrick Johnson’s remains ablaze in his apartment, at his 65 Old Railway Line residence at Wilberforce in the west of Freetown.

The matter is being prosecuted by Lawyer I. Kanneh while the accused persons were defended by Lawyer F.B Conteh.
