“He was editor of the New Breed Newspaper when I was just a reporter for the same newspaper and he has an independent mind; the reason why he is a professional Journalist with a wide range of administrative experience, having also served as Managing Editor of the government-owned Sierra Leone Daily Mail apart from serving as Editorial Consultant for several leading newspapers in the country”, Hon. Mohamed Bangura said in Parliament.
The opposition APC Member of Parliament further informed his colleagues that he has never seen Mr. Khoryama in any political party color. “He may have his own reason for supporting the SLPP but as far as I can recall he has always put the interest of the country above his personal political interest or party interest. Therefore, I honestly believe he is the right man; the man who stands for the truth and I have no doubt in my mind that Mr. Khoryama will be a very good IMC Chairman and I will personally vote for him whenever he appears in Parliament for confirmation,” Hon. Bangura told his colleagues.
