A notice posted at the ACC at the entrance of the house reads: “This property has become subject of the Anti-Corruption Commission and Commissions of Inquiry investigation. The owner is required to submit documentations (conveyance, building permit, etc) of ownership to the Anti-Corruption Commission with immediate effect.”

Speaking to a media house in Freetown, last evening of Thursday August 1st 2019 Kemoh Sesay said: “The house is legally built and all documents are intact from Conveyance to Building Permit to City Council Rates payments to Guma Valley Water company connection fees to EDSA connections are all there”.

Asked if he was not worried over the Police invading the premises, driving out the occupants and marking it with yellow tape as a “crime scene”, Sesay said: “What can I do other than laugh so as not to stress myself? Does this look lawful to you? They just arrived there, drove the occupants out, put armed policemen in the compound, marked our house as a crime scene, took photos of the police men stationed right there at our house and started sharing the photos of my house all over social media. They want me to get angry but I will not.”

Meanwhile, reports say Kemoh’s lawyers in Freetown are already in engagement with the COI on the issue.

Hon. Kemoh Sesay has been out of Sierra Leone now for medical reasons for the past one year.
