Sierra Leone’s former Minister of Energy, Haja Afsatu Olayinka Ebishola Sa Kabbah, whose death was announced on Wednesday, 23rd March, 2023, will be laid to rest today in Freetown.

The late Haja Afsatu Kabbah served as Minister of Energy, Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources and as Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the Ernest Bai Koroma Bai administration.

Prior to her Ministerial and Ambassadorial appointments, the Late Afsatu was Member of Parliament in the Western Urban District.

Her former political party, the main opposition, All People’s Congress (APC) said: “She was a dedicated and selfless member of the APC whose contributions to the party and Sierra Leone will forever be remembered. The late Haja Afsatu Kabbah was an embodiment of strength, courage and perseverance. She will be sorely missed by the general APC membership at home and abroad”.

The Party extends its sincere condolence to the Kabbah family and commiserate with them in this hour of grief.
