The First Lady of Turkey, Emine Erdogan has hailed First Lady Dr. Fatima Bio and reaffirmed commitment to work together for global development. She said she will engage in numerous collaborations with Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, whom she said she is well pleased to work with. 

First Lady Erdogan in her congratulatory message to President Dr. Julius Maada Bio on his re-election as President of Sierra Leone said: “I congratulate Julius Maada Bio on his re-election as President of Sierra Leone, as well as his esteemed spouse, my dear friend Fatima Maada Bio. I believe that in addition to the Advisory Board of Eminent Persons on Zero Waste, we will engage in numerous collaborations with First Lady Fatima, with whom I am pleased to work together.

“I am delighted that the effective projects for the empowerment of African Women and Girls will continue, and I wish her continued success in the new team. May our friendship endure forever.”

First Ladies Dr. Fatima Maada Bio and Emine Erdrogan were appointed by the United Nations to the Advisory Board of Eminent Persons to Promote Zero Waste Initiative to advance the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Their work will undertake with fellow Board Members to advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development counting on Dr. Fatima Bio knowledge, experience, expertise, and commitment to promoting Zero-Waste Initiative.
