Wicky – the attacker, who was in 11 jersey shot the opening goal from the right flank of the field, about twenty – two minutes into the first half of play. The second and very beautiful goal was shut from the center – half of the field by Nwanko Kanu – who was in 19 Jersey, defeating Sierra Rangers Fc 2 – 0 at the Wusum Mini Stadium, Makeni, north – east of Sierra Leone, Sunday, July 30 2017.

Deep in the Gloria Jones Trophy, Area Best Fc of Makeni will lock horns anytime from now with Makele Fc of Fadugu. The head coach of Area Best Fc – Alpha Lamin aka ‘Taribu West’ is proud that he grooms the senior Area Best Fc team from the junior team that’s based in Binkolo, few kilometers from the northern city, comprising Sowa Fc and Sawulya Fc respectively.

Taribu commends US citizen and one – time songwriter for Jackson 5 – Gloria Jones for the venture.  He says: “Gloria loves sports, and she’s patronising local sports.  This is how she gives her humble contribution to sports in the community – and it’s a pleasure working with her in that direction”.

It is vivid that the Team – Area Best Fc has developed and maintained some quality under – 17 talents for the district and beyond – in the recent past.
