The witness had earlier told police that he never heard Junior Parade who put up a fight with him asking the accused person to assist him with a weapon to stab the deceased but whiles the witness was being led in evidence by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Samuel Kamara, the accused intimated the court that he heard the Junior Parade who flounced him on the ground requesting the accused person to assist him with a weapon.

This strange development prompted the ASP Samuel Koroma to state that the court should treat the witness as a hostile witness who is not ready and willing to say the truth, stating that the witness deviated from what he had earlier told the investigating police officers in the respect of the alleged murder of Ibrahim Tarawally.

Before the witness was detained, he had earlier testified that he knew the deceased as his friend and on the night of the alleged murder incident he had a fight with Junior Parade at Fergusson Street and it was during the fight that Junior Parade requested a weapon from the accused Ernest Brewah Jnr. who later submerged with a weapon and stabbed the deceased on his chest and neck.

The deceased, the witness said came into fray to separate him and Junior Parade, and heard a voice telling Junior Parade to release him from his grip but he did not see the person that stabbed the deceased on his chest and neck.

He also intimated his audience that he could not tell what type of weapon the accused person used to stabbed the deceased and that after the deceased had been stabbed, a lady by the name of Mafereh went to the alleged scene of crime and called on youths in the vicinity who assisted her in transporting the accused person to a s hospital.

The witness explained that, after the stabbing of Ibrahim Tarawally he later he went home and whiles he was home elders within the Valley View community went to his house and told him that he should report at the Central Police Division where statement was obtained from him.

The accused was represented by Lawyer Ishmael Philip Mammie. Magistrate Albert Moody adjourned the matter to Wednesday 25th October, 2017.
