When the matter came up for hearing on Thursday 23 August, 2018, counsel for the accused person Musa Beretay canvassed the presiding magistrate for a subpoena to be served on one of the investigating police officers attached to the Transnational Organized Crime Unit headquarter at Hastings.

He went further to renew his application for bail on behalf of his client. However, the presiding magistrate denied the accused person Emmanuel Bobson Nylenda bail and ordered that he be remanded at the country’s correctional centre.
