She went on to encourage her audience and the beneficiaries that despite her ordeal, her heart has always been with under-privileged children in Sierra Leone, adding that since Sierra Leone is the only place we can call home, nothing is going to stop her from helping especially children in the country of her origin.

The learning materials donated were pens, pencils, books, bags, crayons, erasers, among other items.

She went on to encourage the children in the school to always take their studies serious and not to lose hope as she is a testament of someone who has gone through serious life-threatening challenges but stood strong to become a motivational and public speaker in Canada.

“For me, I always say never give up in life no matter what. I’m a big example. If I’m somebody who had given up in life, I wouldn’t have been able to be who I am today,” Mariatu Kamara informed her audience.
