Welcoming the Chinese Ambassador, the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Dr. Abass Chernor Bundu said “it is a great pleasure to have the Chinese Ambassador in Parliament”, and acknowledged the kind support and bilateral relationship that had existed between the two countries. The Speaker commended the Chinese Government for their support to Parliament, especially the electronic gadgets, chairs and the rehabilitation of the Chamber of the Parliament of Sierra Leone to a modern one with state-of-the-art technological equipment.

In his statement, the Chinese Ambassador, H.E, HU Zhangliang said the primary focus of his visit to Parliament is to further promote the good bilateral cooperation between the two countries by strengthening greater ties in bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ambassador HU Zhangliang appreciated the Speaker of Parliament for the warm welcome accorded to him and emphasized   that the good bilateral relationship that had existed between Sierra Leone and China would be maintained and preserved at all time.
