The areas amended are article [19] voting powers. The directors of the boards were stripped of their voting rights at elective congress. The process of electing Athletes representatives was amended and gives them the right to elect their board to represent them at the Sierra Leone Cricket Association [SLCA’s] Annual General Meeting [AGM] Elective Congress.

The role and status of the board and secretary was also examined and amended. The responsibility was entrusted to the Chief Executive Officer of the Sierra Leone cricket association who cooped members of the board by virtue of his managerial status. In line with the National Sports Policy of 2015, the National Sports Council can now have a representative in the Executive Management Committee and also charged with the responsibility of conducting all elections of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association.

Travelling concession have also been granted for cricket stakeholders to be travelling with all categories of Sierra Leone National representative side, chairman and his vice will now be elected by directors and nominated by athletes and full member clubs. 

The office of the publicity secretary is now replaced as the head of public relations and marketing , charged with the responsibility  of providing  correct  and update information about cricket activities  country and worldwide ,and to maintain smooth relationship with the media.

The Executive’s Management Committee and Board of Directors, Sierra Leone Cricket Association headed by Francis Trevor Samura extended his appreciations to the stakeholders who sacrifice their time to legalize the legal instrument of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association.

 

The Sierra Leone Cricket Association’s [SLCA’S] Annual General Meeting [AGM] elective congress will be conduct on the 18th of June 2016 subject to police clearance and approval by the National Sports Council and the Ministry of Sports.
