It is also on record that the police night patrol team hardly polices their community, in light of the aforementioned; the community people deemed it fit to establish a security network called Community Service Volunteers, which will secure their community, especially during the night.

The Chairman of Tree Planting Community Service Volunteers, Mohamed Prince Conteh assured security stakeholders of a proper and dependable security patrol team that would ensure the protection of lives and properties in the Tree Planting community.

He noted that wayward youths in their community had formed clique gangs, and disturbing the peace of other residents, while stating that as community people, they taught it wise to form the community service volunteers for the sole purpose of protecting their lives and properties.

The Chairman told this medium that the community had no form transportation to move suspects, caught in perpetrating crime in the community, and for the police to make the emergency line available to them, adding that police support could be essential in tackling crime related activities at the Tree Planting community.

A senior stakeholder of the Tree Planting community, Lawyer Ezekiel Brima Kargbo pointed out the importance of security in the aspect of nation building, and dilated on how a well secured nation could maintain a sustainable economy growth and social development.

 Lawyer Ezekiel Brima Kargbo stated that security was not just about securing lives and properties, but that it hinges everything that could sustain lives, as well as, food security and water which happened to occupied the centre of human existence.
