It is no secret that desperate and insular politicians have embarked on calculated campaigns to slander and scorn Sierra Leone’s most trusted news source, AYV. Politicians used other media houses that are not even considered by the EU as integral partners in the electoral process apparently because of the fact that they compromised the role of the media even before the electoral processes commenced. The EU Observation Mission in its preliminary report revealed that “THE PRIVATE BROADCASTER AYV TV ALLOCATED 44% OF ITS COVERAGE OF THE ELECTION IN EDITORIAL PROGRAMMES TO APC AND 39% TO SLPP. AYV RADIO DEVOTED 21% TO SLPP AND 18% TO APC.

The APC Party stalwarts and supporters have been reprimanding the Credible AYV, accusing it of being an anti-regime change agent. The EU just revealed that the APC enjoyed the largest part of our TV coverage (44%) followed by the SLPP with 39%.  Who should be the crying babies? See page 8,9&13 of this edition for complete EU report
