Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio has visited the 34 Military Hospital to check on the injured military personnel due to the failed coup on Sunday 26th November 2023.

The first lady thanked the military officers for their incredible gallantry, selfless sacrifice and steadfast commitment to defending democracy in Sierra Leone and holding on those who planned to disturb the peace of the citizens.

Following the visit of His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio on November 28, where he sympathised with the injured military officers and built confidence in them that, the sacrifices and struggle would be underestimated, the first lady also assured them that both the government and the people of Sierra Leone deeply appreciate their bravery in protecting the nation.
